Surgery Update: All is Well!
Andrea asked me to post a quick update here for everyone on the blog… as some of you know she was scheduled for surgery today (for details on the surgery check out this post).
I just got off the phone with her husband Mike and he said that everything went great. Her surgery was a success, and by early afternoon she was in the recovery room… groggy of course, but feeling pretty good.
Outside of a grumpy sponge bath lady, the hospital staff are great and treating her well… i’m sure Andrea will have them all charmed in no time. ![]()
She will be in the hospital for at least a few more days, and then she’ll be resting and recovering for the next 6 weeks at home in Calgary. Mike will be waiting on her hand and foot, right Mike? hehe… I know she was looking forward to some ‘unplugged creative time’ during these few weeks, along with some visits from family and close friends.
A HUGE thanks to everyone who has sent their well wishes and good vibes… On that note, if you care to leave a comment here on the blog for Andrea feel free to do so… she will enjoy hearing from you when she’s back in action i’m sure.

Hey Andrea!
Very, vey glad to hear the surgery was successful. Do you think the fact that I have been dancing and playing “We are the Champions” since 8 this morning helped? Hee hee..!!
Take it easy and many hugs and blessings to you and Mike!

Casey

Get Better Soon Andrea….but take advantage of your 6 weeks of recovery time. I’m sure Mike will cook you your favourite meals, rent your favourite movies, buy your favourite chocolates, massage your feet, rub your back, fluff your pillows….
If you ever get bored give me a call…I’ll keep you entertained.

Andrea:
Serves me right for being trapped in email this late at night… alas, I do get to post the first comment here!
So glad to hear the news is good, you have this step of this process behind you and now every day means more and more healing.
Funny that I only just now read your post announcing this surgery and I loved the image of the coin toss ending with the coin on it’s edge. Greet way to describe indecision, not wanting to choose, being poised in the middle.
Always, all ways, you are teaching us with your life, modeling bravery, being a wise teacher even when you don’t have the answers.
As you have been an angel sitting on my shoulder, (as today… great meeting at the bank, by the way), I am happy to join the chorus of so many who wish you well. Think of me as one of your Tinkerbells, a twinkling spirit encircling you with gentle whispers of healing and love.

Thanks Tina
Andrea
as someone who worked in IVF for 10 years I reckon your coin-flipping ended up the right way.
No fun to have surgery especially when something is “benign” (which implies something calm and laid-back) and fibroids aren’t!
Get well, read crap while your brain is in post-GA fried mode and then let all those creative juices flow - in between big rests as well- we look forward to your return!

Hi, Andrea,
Good to hear all is going well…enjoy your rest while you can. It will be good to have you back, but there is absolutely no hurry. Taking care of you is much more important.
Best wishes always

Great news, Andrea! Now remember that even mental work can be taxing … so just enjoy the support of your DH and friends.
I’ll say a little prayer that your recovery continues smoothly, and that it is a time of renewal.

Dear Andrea,
Pleased to hear your surgery went well and you are my guiding light - I love everything you do Andrea. A pity I’m thousands of miles away, but I often have you in mind. In fact I’m talking about you in this month’s newsletter, so I’ll send you a copy when its out - having a few techie problems! I reread your MMAB on holiday in Spain recently and it was good to revitalize myself with your delicious nuggets. God Bless and wishing you a speedy recovery Andrea. With love, Carole

Andrea, Congrats on the early returns from your surgery. You are loved. As Dr. Joe Vitale says we are cleansing ourselves as we think and pray for you as follows: (to me) I am sorry. Forgive me. I love you. Thank you! from Joe’s new book just published this week ZERO LIMITS.
Next I have shared your Loving Day message with other members of the Palm Beach County Chapter of SHRM…Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County (HRPBC)as we prep for a special diversity theatrical performance October 18 at Northwood U. in West Palm Beach. I plan to share their responses to your profound narrative.
You are loved. T Harv Eker connected us…thankfully.

PS - Our roof is leaking…literally so we may have to use our real estate investment money for that investment instead of in and for Calgary, but we won’t forget your marvelous “call” on the subject. sQs

Holding you in the Light of Total Well-Being.

Best best best wishes Andrea, and PLEASE take care to give yourself the time to recover. You will feel at times that it’s taking too long, that you’re slacking, that life will never be the same, but, and I say this with the voice of experience, surgery is HARD on your body, go easy on yourself and rest…rest…rest!

Andrea, glad to hear you are doing well. I had cardiac arrest May 4 and spent 11 days in the hospital. When I got home my wife and I remarked about how much Law of Attraction played in my recovery. This week I saw my urologist, I almost died from blood clots, and he said what a remarkable patient I am. He couldn’t believe that I reacted as I did without complaining in such a postive manner.
Which brings me to the point that your positive vibrations will be lifting you up to wholeness and health as well.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
