Thomas Leonard would have been 50 on July 31, 2005.

On this occasion, whether behind closed doors or on more public forums, there have been three kinds of conversation:

(1) The misty-eyed remembering him conversation.

(2) The 'are we still talking about Thomas?' conversation.

(3) The 'Thomas who?' conversation.

Because of having been his Chief Operating Officer (CoachVille and Schools of Coaching) at the time of his death, I get asked a lot for 'stories' or something about Thomas that 'the rest of us didn't know about.'

Kibbitzing on the phone the other day, I made a comment that I've made before. I would say, oh, guessing - I've probably said this particular thing - hmm...at least a dozen times in my life.

It's:

"I'm the girl in grade school who no matter where I was on the field in P.E., if there was a ball involved in what we were doing...it would always hit me in the face, and break my glasses."

Interesting. In particular because this time I said it and heard myself say it. Especially the word always.

Always is one of those words, isn't it? Like the word never. (And must and should.) I'm starting to think that these words are particularly useful because in working with clients, they seem to be doorways into coaching breakthroughs.

Okay well, rereading is more accurate and some of you know I'm a lasagne reader -- I read lots of things at once and together they make a creative stone soup that is the fuel for my personal growth.

I consider the book Making A Living While Making A Difference, and author Melissa Everett, defiant personal mentors.

Pick up a copy and you will soon see why. The book provided some of the firestarter that became the first-ever Coaching Day Job conversations at this link.

A quote, from page 181:

Thomas Merton said it this way, in 1966, in a letter to peace activist Jim Forrest:

"Do not depend on the hope of results. When you are doing the sort of work you have taken on, essentially an apostolic work, you may have to face the fact that your work will be apparently worthless and even achieve no result at all, if not perhaps results opposite to what you expect.

A Membership website usually consists of a protected website available to a certain group of people with common interests, goals or identity.

Much like a library, online memberships can take on a certain form, often containing resources such as books, magazines, articles, audio, video, classes, groups.

Premium membership sites will often integrate a personal touch by providing support from a real person, whether that be by email, help desk or at a discussion board.

Richard Reardon has been coaching businesses for more than 15 years. Listen in as he shares his experiences helping clients create results, breaking through to touch CEO's and the most rewarding thing about making a commitment to helping businesses succeed;  not to mention the most miserable client ever and how Richard exited the situation gracefully.

This 21-issue email-based Action Ecourse is for business owners who'd like to increase the size of their permission asset, also known as an email list, customer database or autoresponder.

If you're someone who is already publishing a newsletter, or has a mini-ecourse out there - this will be of particular interest because as you know, your business' success is directly tied to the size (and responsiveness) of your list.

Prior to attending the Multiple Streams List-Building Workgroup, I was getting a trickle of subscribers.

In just 3 weeks of implementing the strategies covered, I have had over 450 subscribers. These strategies really work.

I recommend this List-Building to anyone who is serious about building a list and their business

The Coaching Day Jobs R&D project has lift off. The first call was Thursday and the recording is now posted for your listening pleasure at www.CoachingDayJobs.com.

My friend Lable bought the domains Coaching Refugees.com but I still feel there is a negative connotation to that so we'll stick with Coaching Day Jobs.com.

And, well...it's official. It seems there are a lot of Coaches who are slinking quietly away from the business of building a so-called traditional coaching practice. Lots.

Every once in a while in conversation I get stopped. And I love it.

The best times are when I get stopped by a great question. One of those deep ones that make me smile and think "Now why doesn't everyone ask that?"

Today was one of those days. The question was...

Never mind floods, now we have tornados, not a couple hours away from the city of calgary...in the town where Tina Forsyth grew up, in fact...Lethbridge.

The photos say it all don't they? Fiercely beautiful and so dangerous.

Is there someone who needs to hear you say "I love you" again today?

Who's we? Multiple Streams of Coaching Income, and all the various departments and business arms that encompasses, including Online Business Manager, the Multiple Streams Dream Team, Creating What Matters, and a few more to be unveiled this fall.

Next is a new team listing because the team has definitely evolved and this much talent and hilarity in one group deserves its own web page.
