Passionate Health?

July 25th, 04 12:18 pm | Posted by Andrea

I’m in a season right now where I’m focussing on my health.

Discovering a massive fibroid just when I thought I was about to enter my time to bring children into the world was definitely the wake up call.

I’m lucky, we all know people who’ve had a much more alarming wake up.

At the same time, it’s brought on a personal season of research, reflection and most of all wonderful surrending action.

What do I mean?

I’ve spent most of my life a workaholic.

The last 9 months have seen the pendulum swing back a good deal, but not consistently. It’s just like what they say…any recovering addict needs to discover a new way of living life before recovery to health can be said to be on track.

Even more than a new way of living I suppose is simply a new way of identifying myself.

As I journal and meditate, my new identity has been bubbling forward.

Yes, I’m an energetic and passionate 34 year old woman who has built million dollar empires on the Internet. Yes, at any given time I am coaching 6-8 of the world’s best coaches to do the same. Yes, I am called upon to consult with business people around the world every week — ‘Andrea, can you help me take my business to the next level? I need your expertise.’

God bless you all, I would love to help each and every one of you through my writings, in my multiple streams membership offering, and in other highly leveraged ways.

And…I am serious about this. I am voluntarily hanging up my Entrepreneurial Superwoman cape. I’m positive that this is my way back to health.

This retirement is a scratchy shirt that doesn’t fit well just yet, but I know this is the real me showing up, after all these years.

Cooking dinner is a lottery, and my husband is a saint. But I figure if in business the mantra is to fail often, fail fast, I can apply this in the kitchen too.

Being ‘around’ when six hardwood trees on the property are pruned is a newly fascinating and time-consuming activity.

Resting, fasting, cleansing, praying, are all wonderful activities that take the place of so much frenzied work activity.

It’s a rebirth for me.

After a month or so of this, my health is thanking me profusely.

And while of course I continue to enjoy building my business, providing immense value to my customers and plan and carry out the steps that will sell 10,000 copies of ‘Multiple Streams of Coaching Income,’ my print book due out in a few weeks…

I’m doing it in an integrated way.

This new practice of integration will no doubt be the subject of a new book…next year? Tentative titles popping up are:

‘How to be an Almost-Perfect Wife’
‘The Courage to Love’
‘?’

Even as I get ready to harvest the fruits of writing my first book, the tender shoots and seeds of next season’s living are showing up on my doorstep.

By letting go of the intensity of the past life, embracing a surrendered lifestyle that still encompasses passion…I am glimpsing a passionately healthful life that is simply gorgeous.

This is the way to passionate health, and the living is fine.
